Hempfield Junior Varsity Black Knights had trouble keeping up with Manheim Township in an 11-2 loss on Wednesday.
Manheim Township opened the scoring in the second after Christopher Lopez tripled, scoring three runs.
Manheim Township scored five runs on one hit in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run, Cooper McMillin drew a walk, scoring one run, Dax Neidermyer drew a walk, scoring one run, and Christopher Lopez singled, scoring two runs.
Carter Kenyon pitched three innings in relief for Hempfield Junior Varsity Black Knights. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs while, striking out four and walking five. Tate Lutz led things off on the hill for Hempfield Junior Varsity Black Knights. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Jonathan Kemper opened the game for Manheim Township. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none.
