Hempfield Varsity Black Knights won big over Penn Manor 10-4 on Wednesday.

Penn Manor opened the scoring in the first after Ellis Van Name singled, scoring one run.

Hempfield Varsity Black Knights flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Camden Hulock that drove in one.

Alex Wimmer earned the win for Hempfield Varsity Black Knights. The starter surrendered two hits and four runs (zero earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Ben Patterson took the loss for Penn Manor. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up six runs on five hits, striking out two and walking six. Kieran Reihart and Chase Eby each threw scoreless innings for Hempfield Varsity Black Knights in relief.

Derek Katch and Brandon White each collected two hits for Hempfield Varsity Black Knights. Jonathan O'Maille, Logan Dougherty, Brayden Rishell, Camden Hulock, Brayden Gebhard, Braedon Eck, and Brandon White each drove in one run for Hempfield Varsity Black Knights. Landon Charles led Hempfield Varsity Black Knights with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 11 walks for the game. Hempfield Varsity Black Knights stole seven bases in the game. Hempfield Varsity Black Knights turned one double play in the game.

Oliver Hanna went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Penn Manor in hits. Brady Knaple and Ellis Van Name each drove in one run for Penn Manor. Penn Manor had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Ellis Van Name and Josh Beck led the team with two bases on balls each.
